As a non-profit organization, Starcode offers free coding courses for girls between the ages of 9 and 19 to introduce them to the diverse possibilities and opportunities of computer science and to spark their interest in relevant courses of study with an open and inspiring community.
Since early 2023, I have been engaged in teaching and course development at Starcode, working with the local and tech teams. If you're curious about Python, feel free to try this course that I co-developed!
Since October 2024, I have been part of the Berlin board team, where I help organize courses and meetings, explore cooperation opportunities, and shape ideas for the future. What I appreciate most about this role is the opportunity to create a lasting impact—by bringing people together, fostering collaboration with public institutions, and building meaningful partnerships. I hope to inspire new members to join our community and contribute to its growth.
Besides our regular courses, we also like to have fun outside the classroom. For example, we participated in the Blissathon, an AI hackathon hosted by Google, and, to our surprise, ended up winning the creative challenge! You can read more about it in this LinkedIn post.
Below, you can see the App we created during the challenge.
